Raymond Ira Brewer

Classmate Pat Dawson, learned of Ray's passing. Unfortunately no obituary could be found. This is Pat's remembrance of Pat:  I was an old friend of Ray's, but hadn't seen him since the 30th reunion. Ray went to Hawthorne School, had an IR paper route, built his own custom 51 Chevy with a bored-out 283 V8. He and Joe Longmire won the 1965 Plymouth Trouble Shooting contest at Helena High and they went on to compete in the State Champion Title. Unfortunately they did not win at the state level.

Information gathered from Ancestry.com shows that Ray was born in Bozeman, Montana to Robert Ira and Mary Frances (McLanahan) Brewer. He had one sister, Shirley (Brewer) Fletcher born in 1947 and one brother, Rod born in 1951.. The family moved to Helena in 1952. Ray married Cheryl Ann Fagan in Portland, OR in 1972. His death took place in Portland as well.
