Michael Anthony Stowe

Wednesday, April 16, 1947 – Wednesday, April 25, 2018

Michael A. Stowe was born April 16, 1947 to Dan and MaryAnn Stowe. He attended Helena High and graduated in 1965. 

He had one daughter Lisa Pocha with Sue Marie Pocha in July of 1965. Sadly, Sue passed away in 1974.

He married Connie Calhoun and had one daughter Anne Stowe in 1967. They divorced in 1971.

Mike went on to college to become a draftsman. He worked at various places around the United States designing various types of equipment for companies. At one time he worked for Kodak. Mike was one of the original designers who worked on the Trans-Alaskan Pipeline System in Alaska living up on the North Slope.

He loved fishing and the Montana mountains. He did move to Wisconsin on two separate occasions to be near his grandchildren but returned to Helena in October 2010.

Mike passed due to health issues and heart disease on April 25, 2018. Because of his love for the mountains and fishing, his ashes were spread at a fishing spot in Galena Gulch just outside of Boulder Montana. A few of his ashes were brought back to Wisconsin to spread at his favorite fishing hole near the Cobban Bridge in Jim Falls, WI.

Mike had 2 daughters, Anne and Lisa. He has 2 grandchildren from Lisa; their names are Ashley and Zach.  He has a great-granddaughter from Lisa; her name is Avery.

He has 4 grandchildren from Anne; they are: Josh, Kodi, Ashley, Marla. His great-grandchildren from Anne include Kelsey, Sabrina, Makenna, Joe, Veronica, Garrett, Trent, and James.
