Robert Lynn Ellis

July 21, 1947 - May 16, 1987

Robert L. Ellis of 1805 Joslyn died early Saturday evening from injuries he suffered in an automobile accident near Ovando. He was 39.

Born July 21, 1947, in Helena, to Clara and Gordon Ellis, he attended schools here and in Wolf Creek. He worked at the former Scotty Drive Inn. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp and served two tours of duty in Vietnam. After his discharge he returned to Helena and worked for the Veterans Administration Hospital at Fort Harrison as a cook for eight years. Mr. Ellis most recently was working for Westmont Home Health Care as an attendant for paraplegics.

Mr. Ellis enjoyed fishing and camping.

Survivors are his parents; two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Candy) Linguista and Mrs. Jack (Veronica) Brewer, all of Helena; a brother, Raymond of Spokane, Wash.; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Treva Hillebrecht; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Chapel services will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. at Hagler-Anderson Chapel with the Rev. John W. Long officiating. Cremation has taken place.
