David Jones, age 67, entered eternal life on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 in Los Angeles, California. Born Sunday, July 16, 1950 at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, California, he was the son of the late James and Adrienne Jones.
He was a graduate of Hemet High School and attended American River College. David began his career in Food Service when he went to work for Smart & Final in Hemet. In 2006, he retired as a sales director from Sysco Foods.
Surviving are wife, Linda Thomas-Jones, daughter, Adrienne De La Torre, her husband, Raul; brother, Nick Jones his wife, Charlotte; sister, Brenda Gibson her husband, Brian; 4 grandchildren Samuel, David, Gabriel, and Mari, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
David's father was in the Air Force and his mother from England. His youth included living in England, Georgia (his father's birthplace), and Kansas. After his father's passing, the family settled in Hemet, California, where he met life-long friends and his first wife, Pam, who gave him the pride and joy of his life, his daughter Adrienne. In 1976 he met the love of his life, Linda. In 1986 they married and had 31 years of joyful times with family, travel, dining, entertaining and a life surrounded with food, wine, friends and family.....always family. David loved every minute he spent with his beautiful grandchildren, Samuel, David, Gabriel and Mari.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 17th in the Miller-Jones Sun City Chapel located at 26770 Murrieta Road, Sun City, California.
David's family suggest you remember him with a donation in his name to the
