I don't know how many will remember, but Dave won the "Best Mechanic" Award in '68. In doing so, he was awarded a '58 Chevy presented by Grant Bowles from Sunaire Chevrolet.
I have great memories of David. One really nice guy. He and I were in Boy Scouts together a long time ago. His dad was one of our leaders. His mom and I worked at Lake Hemet together. I remember when he worked at the parts store in Hemet on the corner of Columbia and Florida. He was a pretty darn good football player. I agree with Ross, that he was way too young to have passed away.
Dave was one of the first guys (along with Merc) to befriend me when I moved to Hemet from St. Louis in 10th grade...never forgot that. We d bump into each other now and then and it was always good to see him...Rest in Peace, Dave............Winston Greene
I don't remember when or how Dave and I first met, but Dave and I were in the Boy Scouts together for a while and we a had Great time. Dave had a wonderful sence of humor and quite the prankster. That solidified a Lasting Friendship from then on. It was Great to see him at the last Reunion I attended we talked about old times and memories to the best of our ability to remember anything with a lot of laughs along the way.

I was very sadden to here of Dave's passing. He was in the 6th grade out at Little Lake school with me.
Every spring we would have a kite flying day. I don't know how he did it, but he convinced me to sell him my kite.
He said I'll bring a dime tomorrow for it. Of course I never saw the dime, and didn't really care. I always hoped he enjoyed it. Maybe he's flying it now!!!!
May you have your wings, and be watching over your loved ones and many friends
God bless you and may the Lord hold your family in His arms to comfort them.

Dave was a truly good guy. He was too young to leave us. Life is not always fair.

I met Dave when I first came to Hemet in 1963, we remained close friends throughout the years. After many years
of knowing Dave, our oldest Son Travis marrired Dave's niece, Melissa. That made us even closer as the family
functions were always attended by Dave. We have also been neighbors for the past 13 years so we would get together
and talk regularly. I will miss Dave a lot, he was a wonderful friend.
I will always be grateful for Dave's friendship and will missly him deeply.
