Kirk passed away from a heart attack on Oct. 20. 

Kirk was my best friend.  He made me laugh for nearly 49 years.  I remember when the family first moved in next to us on Mayberry.  Kirk and I hit it right off.  He was hysterically funny and we had the same sense of humor.  There are too many stories to tell but I will miss him dearly.  His departure is untimely and it doesn't seem fair.  He was a good man and a good friend.
