HELEN MARIE LUSK Age 63, of Hemet, California, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2013. She was born on Wednesday, May 17, 1950 in Ridgecrest, California to Frosty and Josefa Gottula. Helen is survived by her daughters, Heidi and Paula Fortune; three sisters, Patricia, Cara and Vivian; two brothers, George and John; and one granddaughter, Nikole Dorelen Olson; niece Kelly & nephews Aron and Joshua. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Franklin Lusk, her brother, Jim, and her nephew, Robbie. Helen was a 100% outdoor girl. She loved going off-roading in Jeeps, camping, and going to Laughlin every chance she got. She also enjoyed doing crochet, puzzles of any variety, and watching NASCAR. She was also very business minded. Helen owned Sisk Auto Parts for 16 years. But her true passion was in caring for others. She devoted much of her time to being an in-home caregiver for the elderly. Helen was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. A Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, July 12, 2013 at Miller-Jones Mortuary in Hemet, located at 1501 West Florida Avenue. Interment will be held privately at Riverside National Cemetery where she will be placed with her husband, Franklin. Reception to follow services will be at American Legion Post 848 located at 312 E.
