You were buried adjacent to the woods I took you to on your first sleepover camping trip. You taught me how to breathe when I ran. You have been with me, and many others who love you, ever since that fateful day. Your memory stuck with me through the rest of school, through Marine Corps boot camp, the first gulf war, my first divorce, second divorce, and yesterday. And you will be with me tomorrow also. I cherish the days I had with you when you were here. I am proud you called me your friend.
Sincerely,
Terry Higginbotham
