Jon Armstrong - Class Of 1976

Jon Scott "Jammer" Armstrong, 51, of Harrisburg, passed away, Tuesday, September 28, 2010, following a courageous battle with cancer, as a brave and strong man.
Mr. Armstrong was born in Harrisburg and was the son of Samuel and Kathleen Hewitt Armstrong. He was employed at Hornung's Hardware, Linglestown, as a Outdoor Power Equipment Tech. He was a graduate of Hershey High School, Class of 1976 and was a veteran U.S. Army.
Mr. Armstrong was a member of the York County Racing Club, American Legion Post 910, Williams Grove National Open Chili Cook off. He was an expert Motocrosser and was a Micro, 358 & 410 Sprint Car Racer. He was a Dallas Cowboys Fan and a fan of all Motor Sports. After his racing career, he continued, with his wife, to travel to races with his motor home, with many friends and sitting around the campfire. His favorite pastime was riding his Harley. He had a great sense of humor, it was either a song, a joke or both. He will be missed by his puppies, Daisy Mae and Snickers.
Mr. Armstrong is survived by his Wife, Mindy of 16 1/2 years; his Daughter and her fiancé, Renee Louise Armstrong and R.J. Rottner, of Middletown; his Parents, Samuel and Kathy Armstrong, of Harrisburg; one Great-Aunt; Several Uncles, Aunt, Cousins, Nephews, Sister and Brother in Laws, and in Laws Al and Rena Rabold.; Numerous Friends.
