Theresa Marie Sikorsky Ridge, 58, died on Tuesday, April 9th, 2013, after courageously living with Glioblastoma multiforme for the past year. A resident of Hershey, Theresa was the Executive Director of Budgeting, Insurance and Benefits at the Home Office of Country Meadows. The strongest reflection of Theresa was her love for her family, to whom she was endlessly devoted. Her husband and best friend for 37 years, Peter Richard Ridge, and 28 year-old loving daughter, Megan Ridge Morris, were her world. Born in Hershey, PA, Theresa lived a bold and adventurous life that she shared freely with everyone she met, whether here, or anywhere else she traveled around the globe. Theresa was one of the founding members of The Hershey Area Playhouse, where her evocative, thought-provoking lighting designs mesmerized, intrigued and inspired community theatre patrons. She honed her theatrical skills not only at Hershey High School, but while attending Point Park University in Pittsburgh, where she majored in Theatre Arts. It was during her time in college that she also met her husband, Peter, a native of Pittsburgh. Theresa enjoyed art as a healing and transformative medium and dabbled in water color, stained glass and writing throughout the years. Theresa's quick wit, sense of humor, vast knowledge of different subjects, and fierce love of her family will always be remembered and admired. Survivors: In addition to her husband and daughter, Theresa is also survived by her devoted and loving mother, Lynn Boehler; son-in-law, Christopher Morris; sister, Deborah Schafer and brother-in-law, Ronald Schafer; brother, Thomas Sikorsky and sister-in-law, Teresa Sikorsky; as well as her niece and nephew, Brandi and Scott Sikorsky. Theresa is predeceased by her father, George Sikorsky. Too numerous to name are the friends, artists and co-workers touched by Theresa to whom her family is ever grateful for their support, encouragement, and love. Services: The viewing is scheduled for Sunday, April 14th from 6-8pm and the funeral service will be held on Monday, April 15th at 11am.
