John M. Jones, 52, of East Peoria, Ill., passed away at 2:12 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Ill.John was born on Jan. 18, 1962, in Peoria, Ill., to Finny and Genie (Spooner) Jones.He was preceded in death by his parents.Surviving are one son, Chris (Terra) Jones of Pekin, Ill.; girlfriend, Patti McCartney of East Peoria; faithful companion, Ginger; three stepdaughters, Stephanie (Jason) Scachette of Peoria, Erica Lawrence of Mapleton and Lee Ann (Marcus) Diaz of Peoria; 11 grandchildren, Wyatt, Paetyn, Dairyen, Karman, Darrien, Brooklyn, Jazmen, Andres, Marco, Andrew and Isabella; one great-granddaughter, Jayde; and one brother, Rob (Lori) Jones of Peoria.John was a flooring installer, last working with Ron's Carpet in Peoria. He enjoyed boating and fishing.A celebration of John's life will at from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015, at Hat Tricks (next to Goodfella's), 1414 N. 8th St., Pekin.
