Comments:
1965 - married Billy Ray Cochran (class of 1959)
1967 - first child (Christopher) was born
1969 - second child (Julie) was born
1971 - became a working Mom - secretary in the Assoc. Dean's office at U. of M. Medical School (a "temporary" job to help pay for a new car)
1973 - the car wasn't paid off yet so went to work at City of Miami Springs
1988 - lost Bill to kidney cancer
1991 - fell in love and married Herb Cummings, gaining 4 wonderful new "kids" and 5 grandkids in the bargain (yes, they're still wonderful and there are now 3 great-grands and a 4th soon expected in the Cummings part of our clan - plus 3 Cochran granddaughters and a new great-grand on the way from daughter Julie's family)
1994 - retired as City Clerk after 20 years of service (obviously the car had long been paid)
1994 - moved to Silver Springs, learned a little about physical labor helping Herb to build a 30' x 40' garage - and took our "dream vacation" to Alaska
1994 thru 2009 - discovered the joys of gardening; traveled a lot within the US and Canada; did lots of volunteer work at church and for 5 years at the Silver River Museum (an educational and natural history treasure in Marion County)
2009 - pretty much "homebodies" now but still active with church, gardening, enjoying all those kids, grandkids and great-grands whenever possible
