Geralene Yvette Reid was born on January 31, 1969, to the proud parents Gerald and Juanita Reid in the city of Hickory NC. She departed Aug 19, 2024 in the city of Winston-Salem NC.

An Honors graduate from Hickory High School, Geralene was a member of the Beta Club, Student Council, and Science Club. She was on the “A” Honor Roll every year. Continuing her studies at Winston-Salem University, she obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree with Honors. After graduation in 1991, she worked for 28 years at the Register of Deeds in Winston-Salem.

The family will receive friends at the home of Joyce Morrison, 833 7th St. SE, Hickory, NC 28602.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, August 27th, 2024, at Bass-Smith Funeral Home’s Chapel with Pastor David Roberts officiating, Apostle Pamela Reid presiding. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM prior to the service.

Burial will follow at Southside Cemetery.
