JOEL HOCHBERGER*

What a beautiful profile of Joel Hochberger!  I barely knew Joel in high school;  his yearbook picture looks familiar, but the later photos stir no memories.  What a loss for me, as well as everyone who knew him better and his family.  I am always amazed by the dedication of the HPHS Administrators who started and maintain our Class of 1959 website.  Thank you for preserving our history.  Rose Ann Simpson (Albert)

It's not surprising to see so many thoughtful comments about Eric - and I'm sure there will be scores more. Eric was one of the great ones from our class and it's painful to write about him in the past tense.  He'll be missed by so many of us.  So sad.

So sad for so many of us.  Eric was just an all time great guy!  I'm sure many of us have wonderful memories of him.  I remember him delivering one of  the all time great speeches (for an 8th grader) when he won the election as President of Edgewood.  And I'll certainly always remember the time (long before he was a professional journalist) when at HPHS, he wrote an article for the Highland Park News about  Bob Rubin, Bill Holland and me  (when we were aspiring rock stars)  I contacted him before the reunion and he was able to find a copy of that 50 year old article.  He'll be missed by so many of us.
