Ann Houghtaling Wertheim died on May 20, 2015. She choked in a restaurant, had a cardiac arrest and was without oxygen for over six minutes before a pulse could be restored. She was in a coma and passed quietly and gracefully with her daughter, a niece and her husband at her side.

Dear James and Julie,
So very sorry to hear about Ann dying so suddenly. She was such a lovely person. I have many happy memories of our younger school years together. I'm glad the end came peaceully, as she had been through an awful lot in her lifetime.
In deepest sympathy,
MARGOT FRANK SOMERVILLE

So sad to hear of Sossy's passing. I have memories of her from fourth grade, when Elm Place and Green Bay children came together, through our senior year when we were both in a six-person fourth year Latin class together, and I got to know her a lot better. She was such a kind and genuine person. My heart goes out to her family.

I just read this and I am so sorry about Sossy. I remember running into her mom on a NY City bus just by accident back in the 80's. She informed me that she was then living in NY because both of her daughters were there. It was such a fluke. Sossy and I were officers in Girls' Club and had our pictures taken together with our mom's for the yearbook. My sympathy and prayers to her family. Such a tragedy.
