Profession:    Retired since 2000;  Longtime owner of feed and tack store in Kittredge, Colorado; also owned a winery

Family:  Wife of 40 years, Jeannie

Ted's life:  After graduating from Cornell College in Iowa, he became a salesman for radio stations in the Rockies.   In addition to his family, his life was guided by two major interests, horses and a love for music. 

He founded the Intermountain Horse Association and served as its leader for several years.  He was also a board member of the Colorado Philharmonic and served for several years as president of the Evergreen Jazz Festival.

This was another sad item to see on our HPHS website. Ted and I grew up in Bannockburn together and I was back there last summer and drove through the old neighborhood and past his house. He was a good guy and a smart and talented person. I am so sorry about his recent passing.
