Barb and I became close friends in Edgewood.  She was such a sweetheart.

I remember in 6th grade science class (Mr. Lee?), we were goofing around singing the Doors song "Touch Me," and when we got to the part "I'm gonna love you, till the stars fall from the sky..." she threw a handful of star confetti or something up in the air over Mark Ex (whom she later married!).  We thought that was the funniest thing ever.

It's such a shame that she died so young.

Barb and I were best of friends since Ravinia, only lived a block away.i learned of her passing three yrs ago from her sister Amy. She had a rough struggle. I was so saddened I didn't have a chance to say goodbye. She was the truest of friends.  I am so glad that her memory lives on at the Cancer Wellness Center named in her honor in Northbrook.

I miss you Barb, in so many ways.  We had a lot of firsts, didn't we. You were ethereally beautiful and had the kindest soul. I often think of one summer, so long ago....you know the one I'm talking about! I just want you to know you are not forgotten.....
