Mark was a good soul.  He died young, all too young.  I have fond memories of him from U.S.Y.  May he rest in peace.

Mark was a great friend and had such a warm smile. I remember the day we learned that he had died, over the holiday break freshman year. I think of Sue Zelikow whenever I think of Mark. I also have such great USY memories of Mark.

Every March 20, on his birthday, I think of Mark.  We were born a week apart.  I stil smile when I hear the songs that we jokingly made up comedic lyrics for, or do a double take when I see a lhasa aspo like his dog, Bonnie.  His legacy came full circle when my son was living in a dorm with the son of Mark's brother, David, who was given the name "Mark" in loving tribute.  He is truly missed more than 30 years after his too-sudden passing.

Mark was a very dear friend and I too think about him every year. What most do not remember is Mark was driving back from Bradley on that fateful day for the purpose of asking Dr. Zelikow for his permission to ask his daughter Sue for her hand in marriage. Why he always fooled around with that 8 track player will always befuddle me.
