I am honored to remember Bill as one of my oldest and dearest friends whom i have known for about 65 years. If i was going to tell some of the stories about him it would take that long. That is for another time over some beers.
Bill moved to Colorado many years ago. His mom died in Hillsdale, he sold the house and for at least the next ten years i didnt see him. Out of the blue, around last November he called and we chatted close to an hour. When i hung up the phone, i was tryin to figure out the purpose of his call. When i learned of his death recently, I understood right away it was his way of calling to say goodbye without the sadness. We went to grade school, high school and a year of college together. If he was your friend, you never had a better one. Thanks Anks
ditto on kanwishers comments, Billy always manage to make people smile and when he didn't make you smile he made you laugh like hell. His memory brings on a smile and a tear and always great memories.
