Billy Wagstaff was my very close childhood friend. The Wagstaff family moved next door to us in the late 1940's. There was Bill, Ann, Georgiana aka Gigi and the oldest brother, Tom. I remember going to 7:00AM Mass with Bill on Sundays so that we could have the rest of the day to play. Bill went to St Andrews grammar school prior to Pascack Valley so many did not have the pleasure of knowing Bill the way I did.

As high school progressed we all tended to go our own ways but I still have very many fond memories of Bill and the Wagstaff family.

One of the funniest persons I have ever known who made classes fun to attend. I remember going classes at St. John's on Monday nights and playing basketball with Bill. You never knew what he was going to do with a basketball-shoot it, throw it to the other end of the basketball court or just sit down on the court with it. He made life fun for all that was around him.
