Kent Jackson

Kent’s Obituary:

Kent Jackson, resident of Jewels Legacy Garden of Beaver, passed away peacefully of a heart attack on May 18, 2017. Kent’s heart was as big as the outdoors where he loved to spend his time with nature hiking and fishing. He was a true mountain man. He was also an expert automobile body repairman earlier in life and found great joy in helping others. Kent was born September 4, 1950 and raised in Salt Lake City, son of Jesse Glen and Florence Jackson. He and his twin brother Brent were the youngest of six children. He graduated from Olympus High School. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved and worshipped his Savior. He was married to Jan Still, later divorced. He lived several years in Montana. He is survived by his loving and devoted daughter, Jill Panoke, (Kaleo) and their two sons, Noa and Kalani, who adored and will miss their Grandpa Kent. He is also survived by family members who loved and appreciated his gentle spirit and generous heart, sisters Bonnie (Carvel) Shaffer and Joan (Ron) Kelly, twin brother Brent (Jacklyn), and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and two older siblings, twins Jesse and Jeanine. At his request, there will be no funeral. A private family gathering to celebrate his life will be held at his daughter’s home. The family would like to thank his loyal friends in Beaver for their many kindnesses and Dave Jones of Jewels Legacy Garden and Southern Utah Mortuary for their caring assistance.
