Cathy Cochran, 63, of Burkesville, Ky., passed away Saturday at her home. Cathy was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Thomas Otto and Shirley (Albright) Otto.
Cathy was an LPN for many years, working with the Veterans Administration Hospital and Mercy Hospital in Altoona, Senior Home Care in Florida and later retired from Optum Health in 2023.
She was a longtime Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loved cooking, camping and being with her family. Her joy in life was spoiling her grandchildren and her dogs.
In addition to her parents, Cathy was preceded in death by her stepdaughter, Crystal Cochran; and her brother, David Otto.
Surviving are her husband, Stephen Cochran, of Burkesville, Ky.; two sons, John (Tina) Otto of Altoona and James Smith Jr. of Ebensburg; a daughter, Michelle (Ray) Snare-Otto of Hudson, Fla.; two stepchildren, Eric (Christa) Cochran of Altoona and Erica (Shaun) Burket of Glendale; two sisters, Shirley (Sonny) Storm of Fallentimber and Mary (Paul) Thon of Duncansville; 19 grandchildren; two nieces; and her beloved dogs, Spike and Lucy.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Burkesville, Ky., with cremation to follow.
