Alexander Campos 33 went to heaven Thursday, January 14th, 2010 after a dignified battle with Cancer. He was a loving husband, father, brother, son and friend. Alex servied in the United States Marine Corp with honor and dignity. He loved to make people laugh, and was always willing to help anyone in need. We all have memories of Alex from Meyer Elementry, to McDowell Middle School and of course Hondo High School. We will continue to celebrate our reunions with Alex, as he has never left our hearts. Semper Fi Marine.

The hardest part of putting the reunion together is looking into the past of people who have left us. When I started making the first reunion videos that were crazy, stupid and silly; I did not think too much of it. I just wanted people to go to the reunion. One reason why I continue to push for these reunions without complaining is because I received a message from Alex prior to that particular reunion. Alex told me he loved the videos and they made him both laugh and cry, and to keep doing it. Further in the conversation he told me that he hopes he can make it to the reunion. I, of course said "I hope you do too and to continue fighting." The conversation we had was memorable, uplifting and it sadden me. Alex was a gentle giant, and a very loyal friend. In middle school, I remember I would "pick" on him because I loved wrestling and thought I was tough. He went along with it and let me beat him up. Yes, we know he would of won every single time. That was not his character, he was entertained by the fact I thought I could beat him up. Even in middle school, he just lived in the moment and enjoyed life. Alex personally made me realize the reunion is not actually about all of us getting together and having a party. It is about celebrating the foundation of who we were and who we have become. Alex is the symbol of strength, and the spirit of Hondo High's Class of 1995. Rest In Peace my friend.
