JEWELL ANN RUSHING CARTER

Jewell Ann Carter, 36, of Texarkana, Ark., died Thursday in a local hospital following a lengthy illness.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Texarkana Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy West officiating. Burial will be at the Huckabee Cemetery near Hope, Ark.

Mrs. Carter was born March 17, 1950, at Bodcaw, Ark.  She was a sales clerk at Belk-Jones and a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, Michael Lee Carter of Texarkana; one daughter, Elaine Carter of Texarkana; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James “Bill” Rushing of Hope; five brothers, Billy Rushing, Harold Rushing and Jimmy Rushing of Hope, Johnny Rushing of Prescott, Ark., and David Rushing of Rison Ark; four sisters, Mary Applegate of Bodcaw, Ruth Harvel of Springhill, Ark., and Lucille Adams and Dorothy Willis,
