Danny Flesher

Danny Flesher, age 57,of Hope, Arkansas died January 10, 2010 from complications of pneumonia.  He was born May 20, 1952, to Hulbert Theodore and Eve Brock Flesher of Hope.

Danny was a successful businessman and pioneer in the music industry.  He was co-founder of the WaxTrax! Records Label, originating the business in 1974 in Denver, and then relocating to Chicago in 1978.  He was instrumental in launching the careers of several influential artists in the "industrial music" movement. He retired in 2005 and returned to Hope.  Danny was known as a generous, kind person who was gifted with an eye for the arts and an ear for music.  He will be missed by many people.

He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers; Alfred Flesher, Ural Flesher, Bob Flesher, Jim Flesher, and Johnny Flesher.

Survivors include four brothers; Hulbert Flesher and David Flesher of Hope, Billy Joe Flesher of Nashville, Ga., and Paul Flesher of Grand Junction Co., and three sisters; Jaunita F. Burroughs of Hope, Flora F. Lombardo of Syracuse, N.Y. and Sylvia Stoddard of Lake City, Fl., and numerous nieces and nephews.
