Benny Joseph Gorz, 60, of El Dorado, died Thursday, October 18, 2012 after a brief battle with cancer. Mr. Gorz was preceded in death by his mother, Bobbie Kirby Gorz.
He is survived by his father, Jopseph C. Gorz, 92, of Sunny Isles, Florida; a son, Brad Gorz, of ElDorado; daughter, Christa Gorz, of Memphis, Tennessee; sisters, Pat Gorz Andres and Ron, of Ft. Worth Texas, Lisa Gorz Miller, of Sunny Isles, Florida; numerous neices, nephews and friends.
Ben was a graduate of Southern State College at Magnolia. At the time of his illness, he was a truck driver for Frank Thompson Trucking Company.
Ben loved the water, especially going out on his sail boat. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved singing, playing the banjo and guitar. He will be missed by all who loved him.
