Carrol McClellan
HOPE - Carrol “Mac” McClellan was born in Hope, January 18, 1955, to Neva and Lloyd McClellan.
After graduating from Hope High School, he earned a bachelor’s degree from Ouachita Baptist University.
He worked in the Arctic Circle with Geolog, Inc., before moving to Fayetteville to attend graduate school at the University of Arkansas.
He worked many years for Johnson Hardware Store before becoming the owner and operator of HomeSpec., Inc.
The success of his business can be attributed to his high professional standards and to the relationships he established while employed at Johnson Hardware Store.
He was an avid outdoorsman who especially enjoyed the Ozarks and all it has to offer. He was happiest when he was camping, hiking, fishing or canoeing, whether it was with a group of his many friends or simply spending time with his ‘Honey Bee’.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd; and his father-in-law, Elmer Riddle.
He is survived by his best friend and wife, Patty Riddle McClellan; his mother, Neva, of Arkadelphia; one sister, Janis (William) Walden, of Sulphur Springs, Texas; his mother-in-law, June Riddle, of Fayetteville; brother-in-law Phil Riddle, of Tulsa, Okla.; and many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, October 1, in Fayetteville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Carrol Mac’s memory to EOA Children’s House, 614 E. Emma, Suite M401, Springdale, AR 72764.
