HOPE--Evelyn Katherine Rudd, 52, of Hope, died April 18, 2008, in a Texarkana hospital. She was born July 23, 1955, in Hope and graduated from Hope High School. She was a member of Lonoke Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, R. C. Stuart and one brother, Richard Charles Stuart.

Survivors include her mother, Mary Lee Brown, one daughter, DeShae Rudd; three sons, Gregory and Brenda Brown and Jermaine Rudd, all of Hope, and Delvekio Rudd, of Modesto, Calif.; two sisters, Ruby Horton, of Hope, and Lorraine and Eddie Briggs, of Lewisville; three brothers, Harold and Concepcion Brown, of Modesto, Spencer and Shirley Brown and James Henry Stuart, all of Hope; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. with a wake from 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 25. Services will be at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, April 26, at the Lonoke Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Alvin Hunter, pastor, officiating. Interment will be at Two Mile Branch Cemetery in Hope, under the direction of Hicks Funeral Home, Inc.
