I had a chance to spend some time with "Bubba" many years after we graduated and what stands out the most from those visits was his laugh, smile and overall positive attitude. James was one of the good guys.

I always thought the world of Bubba and considered him a good friend. He always had a smile for me.

I hate that his children have to grow up without him around.

Remember his wife and children in your prayers. I know it has been tough dealing with his sudden death.

James was my third grade boyfriend! He remained one of the dearest people I have ever known. The Lord takes care of his children.

Bubba passed away on Father's Day June 2005, I will never forget getting the news that I had lost my best friend that day. We are told in God's word that there is a friend that is closer than a brother, Bubba was that friend to me.

I needed some mechanic work done and I ran into James about three years ago down Lewisville road. He did an excellent job on my car. I was tired of paying high prices for mechanics. The Landes outfit seemed to have decent prices so I game them a shot. I went to check on the car and I ran into James and had a good long talk with him.

I never saw him again after that, maybe because he was such a good mechanic.

We rode the old Patmos Lewisville bus loop together many moons ago (7th grade++). He was always polite and courteous to every one around him. He also seemed to have a constant smile.

Had to be the truest best friend I ever had and I don't remember the last day that past that I don't think of him in some way. This was a man who never met a stranger. Bubba and I went to Alaska one time just cause I hadn't been and we drove up to a igloo in the middle of a frozen lake, cause we were lost or I was, and an old eskimo came out and said "Hey Bubba, good to see ya." I said Bubba how does he know your name and Bubba said "Awe Tazzy I never met no stranger". The story ain't true but it could have been. Bubba you were and are the best. Much love and thanks for all the memories. Your friend. Tazzy.
