Our Classmate, Donald R Hollenbeck,74, died on November 28, 2021 from complications of covid.
As high school sweethearts, he married Sylvia E Jelliff after graduation and they were married for 47 years until she passed away of cancer. One year ago, he married Yvonne and enjoyed many trips on their motorcycles. He was a Mold Maker/Pattern Maker/Machinist for over 40 years at Anchor Glass in Elmira Heights. Don really enjoyed life especially with his children and grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Linda and Bob Evans, FL, Brother, Steve and Diane Hollenbeck, FL. Don was known to enjoy a Coors Light around the campfire. Our condolences to his family and friends. Arrangement by Sullivan's Funeral Home, Horseheads on December 11, 11:00am to 1:00pm. r.i.p. Don and Sylvia...They were a lovely couple. I partied with Don and knew Sylvia who was the daughter of my parents friends. They made excellent homemade wine. We went camping at a lake often. I remember Don crashing his Honda dream and broke both arms when he t-boned a car pulling out of a driveway. His sister was his in house nurse which included bathing and dressing him. Isn't that what sis's are for..lol.
