I guess to those of you who still live in Pennsylvania, a trip to the Jersey Shore seems mundane and a let down compared to world travel.  But having been away for quite a while -  3 years in Solomons Island , Maryland - 4 years in Corpus Christi, Texas - 7 years in Glasgow, Scotland and the last 11 years in Ocala, Florida - a trip to the Jersey Shore is always exciting. I have been to beautiful beaches all over the place - but nothing compares ( to me, at least) to the boardwalk in Wildwood.  

Anyway, we spent the month of September in Wildwood - the best time to go in my opinion- and had a great time.  Stayed right on the boardwalk/beach and were there during bike week, firemen's convention, muscle car week-end  and the Irish convention. Great fun.

Then we were off to Annapolis for a week. I still have friends in Solomons Island and they met us in Annapolis and we all did the tour of the military academy for the 3rd or 4th time ( but it's worth it)  We stayed right on main street and on week-ends ( Saturday night especially) the town is really  jumping.  live music up and down the street and the boat  owners showing off their vessels at the marina --  wonderful !!!!

Then home to Ocala.  It's a great place if you like to golf - but I have to admit - I miss home....

Wildwood is a crazy place!!  Have been there for a few Irish weeksends and had a ball.
