Linda Zieba (Shelley)

  LINDA MARIE ZIEBA SHELLEY (1948-1990)

Linda Zieba was born on April 24, 1948 in Kingston, Rhode Island to Henry and Lorraine Zieba.

In high school, she was a member of the Spirit Committee, FSA, Art Club, Dance Committee, and Drama Club. She is remembered as happy, pretty and always ready for a party.

After high school, she attended Dover Business College in Clifton, New Jersey, graduating in 1968.

Linda married Alan Shelley (HH ‘65) in 1968 and they made their home in Doylestown.

In 1971 their son, Alan Jr was born, followed by Ryan, Kyle, and finally a daughter Kyra. Linda was busy as a homemaker and mother. She was a volunteer at Kutz Elementary School in Doylestown as a room mother and worker for fund-raising events.

On March 29, 1990, Linda was involved in a fatal automobile accident in Warrington.

A mass of Christian burial was said on April 2, followed by her burial in Doylestown Cemetery.

Besides her husband and children (aged 12-19), Linda was survived by her parents and a brother.

Linda was my hallway locker buddy. She needed a first floor locker so we shared. Linda had a great and funny personality. We laughed a great deal. It has been so long since she passed. I hope others remember her great personality. Regards, Phil

Linda lived on Winding Way next door to Steve Perry, in the same neighborhood as Jerry Hanford and me.  We all met at our bus stop on the corner of Latchstring Lane and County Line Road.  She was a sweet girl.  She use to see me running (getting ready for Cross Country) past her house and always cheered me on.  I remember when I heard the news of her tragic car accident.

Linda and I used to swim at the Officer's ClubPool at Willow Grove Nancal Air Starion during the summer. The last time I saw her was at AG Day at Del Val College. That was shortly before she died. She still looked the same and had the most beautiful little boy with her. I think her son's name was Skip. Such a tragedy...

Linda was a darling!  Always smiling and friendly.  I am so sorry to hear she is no longer here with us.  I hope her son is doing well. I am wondering how old he was when she passed on.
