Craig Pemberton was one of the best friends I ever had.  He and I, Wayne Schroeder, Tom Murphey, Tom Cummiskey, Tony Vicich, Jerry Vicich, Tommy Evans, Mark Crader, and various other ne'er do wells had all sorts of wacky misadventures.  I am not about to detail any of that on line and risk having the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department, the Missouri Highway Patrol  or the FBI come looking for me.

Craig was one of the sweetest, funniest, most intelligent and most of all, loyal friends I ever had.  He changed a great deal after he got into motorcycles, well biker culture, in a big way.  I ended up being scared of him really, but still thought I would get to see him again some day.

Remember that old song about wedding bells breaking up that old gang of mine?  Well it's funeral marches that are breaking up my old gang.

Amen brother. Craig and I hung out a great deal and he was also in "best friends" group. I'll always remember the good times we had. That's what you with friends and those who have gone before us. He lived his life the best he could and the world is a poorer place without him. Ride on brother.

I too had the pleasure of knowing Caig or as I called him JC.

He and I first became friends during our 9th grade years at a football scrimmage between North Jeff and North West. We were heads up players and each played hard against the other during the game. Later, while in the locker room, a large, sweating, naked man with long stringy blond hair walked up to me and said" Man, you really beat the Hell out of me and I want shake your hand"

That was the start of a long term and heartfelt friendship that shaped both our lives for our years to come.

I miss you old friend.
