Clifford Farrell

Clifford Lee Farrell, 62, died Friday, April 10, 2009, at his home following a battle with cancer.  He was born Dec. 12, 1946, in Raymondville, son of Walter Aaron Farrell Jr. and Delline Leatrice McColgin Farrell.  He and Connie Sue Luck Farrell were married April 28, 1967.  He attended grade school at Vollmar and Raymondville before graduating from Houston High School in 1964.  He was saved and baptized as a child at Wildwood Church.  In recent months, his brother, Ronnie, led him to the Holy Spirit and purchased him a Bible.  He worked as a carpenter and custom car painter in St. Louis when he was first married.  He often worked 12 hour days at Double F Ranch for more than 30 years.  Later in life, he was owner/operator for Prime Inc. and drove for Nickels Pallet Mill in Ramondville while working the family ranch.  He enjoyed telling stories and teaching his grandchildren to rope and ride horses.  He had a passion for horses and cattle.  He bred Appalossa horses.  He was preceded in death by his parents .  Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Leslie Chantil Richards and Casey L Farrell-Sutton of Raymondville; five grandchildren; a brother Ronald Ferrell of Branson; and several nieces and nephews and their families.  Services were Monday, April 13, at Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Delbert Gayer officiating.  Burial was in Boone Creek Cemetery.
