Paul Brown

Paul Gentry Brown, 55, son of Gentry and Glenice Brown, was born September 19, 1946, at West Plains. He died October 13, 2001, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center in Merriam, KS.  A 1964 graduate of Houston High School, he attended Drury College in Springfield. He was a regional manager through the midwest for more than 25 years for major appliance companies including White-Westinghouse, Admiral and Maytag. He was a US Army Vietnam veteran and past American Legion post commander for Ball-McColm Post #5 in Emporia, KS. He was preceded in death by his mother. Surviving are his wife, Peggy Kraura-Brown of the home at Bonner Springs, KS; two sons, Jeffery Johnson of Springhill, KS; and Phillip Brown of Olathe, KS; three daughters, Shandi Schierling of Olpe, KS, Kim Mile of Olathe, KS, and Marianne Rupp of Chattanoga, TN; his father of Kansas City; three brothers, Michael Brown of Kansas City, Phillip Brown of Liberty, and Jay Brown of Lombard, IL; one sister, Jimmilee Prouty of Wooster, Mass.; and eight grandchildren.  Memorial services were October 16 at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home at Bonner Springs, KS. A private committal of ashes will be at a later date.

I saw Paul for the last time about 1 year before passed.
I'll always remember him for his humor and fun loving attitude. He was always a good and loyal friend.
I'll miss him.
