Clyde D Collins

         Clyde Dale Collins was born March 10, 1946 in Springfield, Missouri, one of eleven children born to Zealous H. and Cleda A. (Gaither) Collins. When he was a freshman he was chosen outstanding AG student and his prize was a heifer. He graduated from Houston High School in Missouri.

         Throughout his life Clyde was always working hard as a business entrepreneur. He loved coon hunting. His nieces and nephews knew him as a kind and loving uncle.

         On August 14, 2015, Clyde passed away at the Harper Hospital at the age of 69 years, 5 months and 4 days. He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings: Marie and Zealous Jr.

         Clyde will be deeply missed by his wife, Jacqueline Arnett; sons: Terry and Tracy, their spouses and children; siblings: Norman, Mary, Bud, Lucille, Robert, Louise, Cleta and Larry; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; in-laws, Russell and Wilma Arnett; family members: Terry Arnett, Steve Arnett, Danny Arnett, David Ryan, Russell Ryan, Gene Ryan, Elsie Hasenbank; and a host of other relatives and many friends.


Funeral service 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 17, 2015 at Prairie Rose Funeral Home in Anthony with Pastor Kim Martin officiating.  Burial will follow in Attica Cemetery, Attica, Kansas.

Visitation will be held 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Prairie Rose in ANTHONY.

Memorials in memory of Clyde may be made to the Attica United Methodist Church and may be sent in care of the funeral home.

Prairie Rose Funeral Homes, 602 E. Main St. ~ Anthony, KS 67003, is in charge of arrangements.

To Clyde's family,

We send our heartfelt sympathy to you in the loss of your dear husband, father, grandfather, & brother.

May he always remain in your hearts as you continue your journey here on earth, for Clyde is now walking with our Lord in the Kingdom of Heaven.

I was so sorry to hear of Clyde's passing.  I remember him well from our school days.  He was a sweet and very nice young man.  God bless your family in this most difficult time.
