FRIENDSWOOD - A 6-year-old Friendswood boy was in stable condition Monday after a two-car accident that killed his mother.

Witnesses said Dana Cooper, 25, was driving eastbound in the 3500 block of FM 528 about 6:30 p.m. Sunday when she suddenly drove into oncoming traffic and struck a pickup.
