MRS. JOAN FALKE, 59, passed away November 30, 2005. Joan was born in Rochestor, NY to Herbert and Elsie Sweemer. After receiving her Masters Degree from Duke University, She taught in the Philipines; England; Big Sping, Silsbee, Lumberton and Houston, TX. After retiring in 2003, Joan spent many hours volunteering in elementary libraries and her church library. She served as a state officer for her sorority- Alpha Delta Kappa. Joan was also a faithful member of Jersey Village Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Sunday, December 4, 2005 at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 5, 2005 at 9:00 AM in the Forest Park Lawndale Main Chapel with Rev. Ed Hogan officiating, interment will follow. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Jersey Village Baptist Church Library 16518 Jersey Dr., Houston, TX 77040.

Mrs. Falke, Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything that you and Coach did for me! I didn't find out 'til after I graduated how much you guys actually did for my family, and I wish there was some way that I could have showed you my appreciation! I will take that example and live by it until the day that we all meet again. Once again thank you, Rest in peace...........John
