RUDD Billie Rudd was born July 22, 1920. Her body died Sept. 8, 2002. Billie is living in heaven for all eternity. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Bill Rudd; her children, Carol Thompson, Tom and Jane Hope and John and Melissa Rudd; her sister-in-law, Nola Grimes; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and countless friends. Bill and Billie lived in Houston for many years. She taught at Broadway Baptist School and Second Baptist School. She taught Sunday school throughout her life. Her love for scripture and her desire to teach made her a Bible scholar. After retiring to Canyon Lake/New Braunfels, Billie became the first librarian at Oakwood Baptist Church. The library is a tribute to her love for people and books. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5 to 9 p.m. at Zoeller Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Oakwood Baptist Church in New Braunfels. The family greatly appreciates the care provided by Oaktree Assisted Living and Hope Hospice.
