Phillip is one of the classmates I knew since Kindergarten. As with Lydia Gomez, what I remember most is Phillip's distinctive laugh and how easily it came for him! There is nothing like having a friend who laughs at all the things you say - that YOU think are funny. Laughter is a true gift and I know that where Phillip is today, there is plenty of laughter going on! May his family be comforted in knowing he is remembered for having many moments of laughing and fun and may he continue to have that fun with his loved ones who went before him. Phillip was one of my dearest friends. I have so many memories of him throughout my Marshall days and long past graduation days, so many I don't have room for on this page. He was someone that I could talk to sooo easily and he always made me laugh. He was so much fun to be around and he had the greatest personality, so much so, that he could light up any room by just entering it. If you didn't have a smile on your face...he would give you his! I miss him and hope to reunite with him again in God's kingdom...he was a true treasure.
I don't know why he left. I don't really care what made him leave. I do care that he left us, too soon. He did leave us with great memories, and there is a message there to all of us from him. What ever it was, what ever it is, WE must always keep an eye out for each other. WE must allow a friend in our lives just because, A friend may see something I don't see.
Phillip and I were not the talk of the town, were not the most popular. We were just freinds......When We cross paths he always always said "Hey Jerry"....As most of us we lost contact, and i'm sorry to say I didn't see him before he passed. All I have is the great smile from that guerro face from school days.
My fond memories of Phillip: He was Mike's best friend and our daughter's God-Father. He was awesome and always made us laugh. He was always there for us. I miss our buddy. I know he is in a better place and is now resting.

I knew Phillip, he would always poke at me and say "Hey Mike" and end with a funny saying. He was always laughing.
