Sandra died in 2008 after fighting breast cancer for nine years. She is survived by her husband , Chris Rubio ( Family Life Minister at St. Christopher and Saturday DJ at KSBJ...give him a call !) , their son Andrew Rubio ( picture a male version of Sandra) and her daughter , Monica Montemayor ( my niece, her dad is Augie). She fought hard and long but evetually her cure was to leave her broken body and return home to her Creator.
WE SPENT MANY YEARS TOGETHER IN OUR EARLY SOUTHMAYD/DEADY DAYS. WE WENT SEPARATE WAYS IN HIGH SCHOOL BUT REMAINED VERY GOOD FRIENDS. SHE WAS A JOY TO BE WITH AND I MISS HER DEARLY.
Sandra, So sorry for the loss to your family. I remember when you moved here (my memory) I think it was from Montery Mexico and we were at Southmayd, (in the same class many times) and we went to school our whole life together. You were always so nice... Nothing but fond memories about you. You're family has a special angel looking over them now.

She always made me laugh. What fun we had in GBC's and on our Senior trip to Cancun. What a day of rejoicing it will be when we reunite in Heaven.Sara (Rebmann) (Callis) (1980)
