I remember Owen as being a brainiac and a really nice guy. We met in jr. high in a science class. God bless him and his family.

Whenever I hear an infomercial about Phonetics I think of you and those times you would help me out in English by telling me that I should have no problem understanding any word as long as I remembered to break them down and sound them out slowly, then the definition would come to me.
This tip helped me a lot and became a valuable tool in nursing school. Even though the medical terms were primarily in latin, I was still able to use this tip by breaking down the larger word into smaller ones...except to translate a medical term you start at the end & work forward!
I would have never been able to ace my medical terminology exam without your help!

The main class I remember with Owen is German. What a bunch of fun we had goofing off in that class, and then joking about how not-good our last test scores were....how many off-color German words could one remember. Great memories.
