Jim was the very first SWSH classmate ('68) I met in the summer of 1966 when my family moved to Spring Branch.  We rented a house on Confederate Street next to his family until we bought a home a few months later.  He was such a "dork," and my brother Bub Crawford and I spent a lot of time with him hanging out in our front yards.  Fun memories!  Several years ago, we became Facebook friends and messaged each other about the Civil War.  Luckily, I sat with him and his wife Norma a couple months ago at our last SWSH Destination Lunch in Carmine, Texas.  We had a great visit!!!  Rest in peace Jim! 💕🙏🏻💕🙏🏻

When I moved from Midland to Houston midway through our sophomore year in 1966 Jim agreed to be my debate partner. I appreciated his disciplined intelligence, humor and acceptance. As I am sure all who new him will agree, he was an excellent partner. Godspeed Jim and may God comfort your family.
