Larry Alan Davis, age 71, passed away Saturday, July 31, 2021 at UT Health in Tyler. Larry was born October 29, 1949 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to parents, Warren Leslie Davis and Margie Marie Bomhoff Davis.

He earned the high rank of Eagle Scout as a member of the Boy Scouts of America in the early 1960’s. He then graduated from Spring Woods High School in 1968. Larry attended Texas A&M University and was a member of the Army Corps of Cadets, receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science in 1971.

During that time, he met and married the love of his life Marie Collins Davis on August 15th, 1970. Upon graduation Larry and Marie moved to Kansas where they had their first child Lisa in 1975. Larry and Marie moved back to Texas in 1976 and he began his journey at Quantex Instrument Company.
In 1979 Larry and Marie welcomed another addition to the family, Ryan. The following year they moved to Crockett, Texas, thereafter having their youngest son Matthew in 1989. During this time Larry continued to climb to ranks at Quantex Instrument Company where he later became President and owner.

Larry is survived by his wife of 51 years, Marie Collins Davis of Crockett; children, Lisa Shelton and husband, Billy of Crockett, Ryan Davis of Crockett, Matthew Davis of Crockett; grandchildren, Alexandria Davis of Fairfield, Jennifer Bennett of College Station, Kyleah Bennett of Crockett, Victoria Shelton of Tennessee, Corbin Cox of Conroe, Tyler Davis of Conroe, great-grandchildren, Emmett Hosey, Aralyn Davis-Stanford; mother, Margie Marie Davis of The Woodlands; brothers, Kendall Craig Davis and wife, Robin of Atlanta, GA, Leslie Brent Davis and wife, Patricia of Wimberly; numerous other loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Larry was preceded in death by grandparents Gladys Brown Bomhoff and John Otto Bomhoff, as well as paternal grandparents William L. Davis and Queen Elizabeth Davis, all of El Reno Oklahoma, father, Warren Davis and great-grandson, William Vaughan.

Funeral services for Larry Alan Davis will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2021 in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel, Pastor Billy Shelton officiating. Interment to follow at Evergreen Memorial Park in Crockett.
