Rosalind Porter

     1949 - 2025

Rosalind Marie "Roz" Porter was born December 21, 1949, in Ector, Texas.  She peacefully passed while she was resting on Thursday, August 14, 2025, in Houston, Texas.  She was 75 years old.  Rosalind was battling Alzheimer's and COPD, but she never lost her sassy attitude and she was a such pleasure to be with.

Rosalind was the daughter of Richard Johnston Porter (1916-1990) and his wife, Evelyn "Fay" Rogers Porter (1922-2009).  She had one brother, Richard Johnston "Rick" Porter, Jr. (1954-2013).  

She studied Counseling/Diagnostician at Sam Houston State University.  Rosalind was an elementary counselor and diagnostician at various Texas school districts.

Rosalind married Daniel Jones in 1984 and divorced in 2006.  They had one son, Keith Jones.  Her son survives her and will cherish her memory.

She will be cremated and there are no plans for a service.
