Steve Harbin
1949-2011
Robert Stephen "Fritz" Harbin, 62, passed away on December 22, 2011, after a long battle with cancer. He was with family in Wallis, Texas.
Steve was born September 18, 1949 in Houston, Texas
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Bates Harbin of Dobbin and Neva Patricia Hall of Barbers Hill, and his wife, Lynn Fiedeldey of Key West, Florida.
He is survived by his sister, Bobbie Reinecker and her husband, Lester, of Wallis and other relatives.
A native Houstonian, Fritz was a 1968 graduate of Spring Woods High School and attended the University of Houston. However, the lure of mountains and a cooler climate took him to the Colorado Springs, Colorado area where he would make his home for the next 35 years.
He graduated from the University of Colorado, had job experiences in house restoration, restaurant management and computer systems installation and repair. Fritz loved to travel and enjoyed meeting people. His quick wit and sense of humor will be missed.
Fritz's philosophy centered around the idea that everyone should be kind to each other and take care of each other. A fitting memorial to him would be to pay that forward.
"Rest, now, Fritz, in peace and love. You made our part of the world a better place. We will carry you always in our hearts."
