Obituary:

Julius Edward "Coach" Yellott, a longtime resident of Houston, thirty-year employee of the Spring Branch Independent School District and an active member of the Lions Club passed away peacefully on May 28, 2013, at the age of 90.

He served during WWII in the Army Air Corps as a bomber pilot.

Julius was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Eleanor Sue Yellott.  He is survived by his sons, Dale Yellott and wife Terry of Kennett Square, PA and Michael "Mike" Yellott and wife Lorene of Cumming, GA; nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; a brother, Avery Yellott and wife Bonnie of DeQuincy, LA; a sister-in-law, Margaret Yellott of Onalaska, TX; a brother-in-law, Robert Strong and wife Ann of Dripping Springs, TX; a sister-in-law, Barbara Yellott of Lonestar, TX; an
d numerous other relatives and dear friends. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Hansford L. Yellott, a brother-in-law, Bud Strong and his parents, Luther and Rosa Yellott of Dequincy, LA.

The family will receive friends from 3 PM to 5 PM on Sunday, June 2nd at Waltrip Funeral Directors in Houston, TX, where funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel at 1:30 PM on Monday, June 3rd with Reverend M. Eugene Vickrey officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Garden of Memories.
