Gordon Doudt                                                                                                         1950 - 2022

Gordon Howarth Doudt was born in Newark, New Jersey, on May 6, 1950.  Gordon, 72, formerly of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away peacefully at Porta Caeli Hospice House in Tulsa, Oklahoma on May 17, 2022.

He attended Spring Woods High School in Houston, Texas.  After high school, Gordon spent most of his life as a carpenter and working in a metal-plating shop, although he had a variety of jobs throughout his life, one of which was as a nanny.

Gordon had a difficult life, but had a soft heart, and was generous and encouraging to others.  Later in his life, he found salvation in Jesus Christ.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Vernon Charles Doudt and Dorothy Lorraine Downs Doudt.  

Gordon is also preceded in death by his younger brother, Kenneth “Kenny” Rice Doudt, a SWHS 1971 graduate.  Kenny, 53, of Hawaii, drowned at his favorite Kauai surf spot on Sat., May 5, 2007.  Years before, on Nov., 27, 1979, Kenny survived what news reports described as one of the worst great white shark attacks in the Pacific Northwest.

Gordon is survived by his daughter, Shannon Suzanne Hamilton and granddaughter Lilyauna Hamilton, both of Sherwood, Arkansas.  He is also survived by his sister, Deborah Lee Harrison and brother-in-law, Ronald Glenn Harrison, both of Salado, Texas.
