Cephus don't worry about your spelling. It is just so good to be on this side of that scary surgery and home and able to hear from you. Our joint prayers have been answered to have been where you were. And We always thought that Diane was an Angel and now we can prove it. Just rest, both of you, and follow the road map for recovery that you have been given Thank you Lord!

That's great Beau.  Your typing/spelling skills have already improved dramatically.  You'll be back on top in no time.  So glad your home with your beloved, your furry friends and all that wonderful nature to help you through your healing process.  I, for one, am absolutely amazed at what you've been through and the progress you've made in such a short time. Keep up the good work, it's paying off already. 👍

Beau, It is so good to see your name back on The Forum and read your writings which are as good as ever. How remarkable that you have progressed this far, this quickly! Our God is truly awesome that he not only heard but answered our prayers for you. Keep up the good work! I know Diane is the BEST caregiver you could have. The chalkboard and writing accessories are a great idea! Use them as often as is possible. All of us are rooting for you!

Beau...you da man!!  We love your down-home humor and reading your posts. The Lord still has a purpose for you here on this wonderful earth. Recovery from brain surgery can seem a slow progress. It was exactly a year ago that I had brain surgery. It was scary that after surgery I couldn't speak inteligent words or write anything. But...you'll get there my friend. Praying for strength and faith.

Well... Beau, so glad my prayers were answered,I was anxious for you and my co-worker friend, Billy, and his wife in the hospital with Covid...my bestie male friends that I can joke and laugh with, and God's grace you both are here to laugh and continue life with.

Enough of that, hoping we remain safe, group.  I've lost too many church people here in Grimes county because they won't wear their masks.

I'm working as an antiques vendor in an antique store in Navasota, Tx.  It is enjoyable and I'm getting rid of things that has been in this house too long.  Our "coin man" is our Covid victim, and has been moved to Rehab, doing phy therapy now.  I am doubling two shifts a week to cover, he is hilarious. Each vendor has to work free 1 day a week.

Just returned, not too many customers because of the weather today.

Beau,

So glad to hear you are back on the right side of Life’s Highway (290?) up on your Hill where you belong.

We are all very lucky to have the #1 ranked cancer care hospital in the US right in our own back yard, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center with some of the brightest minds in the world at our beck and call and apparently you were fortunate to get treated as quickly as you did.

I hope you continue to recover from surgery, heal, feel better (do as Diane tells you) and maybe we can all get together again when this COVID mess is subdued.

Keep us laugh’n with your posts, wtl

Beau: It was cold in Omaha today with the high of -6 and low tonight of -15. So we stay in by the fire. But the good news is it will warm up to 21 by Friday. I know it can get really cold in your part of Texas so stay warm and be safe. Remember; "For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us." 2 Corinthians 1:20. Blessings to you and Diane.

Jimmie Lee Smith (Brawner)

It's 10 degrees and snowing in Melissa and going down to 5 tonight.  Tomorrow - high of 14 then down to ZERO!!!!

Yikes.  I'm praying that everyone keeps their power - lots of frozen pipes around the neighborhood.  Stay warm, everyone.

Praying everyone is safe, and warm.  We are currently experiencing a balmy 26 degrees, with frequent winds and sleet, hopefully turning to snow before the night is over,  Fell asleep before 6:30 and did not go outside to run some water thru the outside hose bibs.  Pipes and bibs are covered, but each pipe out of the ground has 4 or 5 hose bibs.  On each, I left one that I could reach to open for some water to run overnight.  Front managed to push out the ice blocking it and water gushed out.  Cut it back to a bit more than a dribble, then moved to the back (North side of house).  Had to get the hair drier out to open up the water flow.  Just after it began to flow, the circuit breaker blew, so everything was dark.  Got that fixed and hopefully, by running the water, the pipes will not freeze.  Most of the potted plants are inside the garage or on the front porch (South side of the house), in the alcove for the front door.  The pencil cactus will not make it.  Those two were already covered with frozen water when I brought them in around 5.  One cat (BooRay) came in when I frist went out, then our other cat (Zeva) went out a while later and has not returned.  So far, its a three dog night, Sarah has two and one is in a carrier (to wild to be let loose in the house without lots of supervision).

I don't remember weather this cold in this area since we went downtown to see the Dukes of Dixieland at some little hole in the wall club . . . . .

Stay warm, my fellow classmates, spring will be here just about this coming Saturday . . . . .

Beau, you are doing amazing, you should play dumb and cohurse us to all do your work,  we can hold out for the Master,

Actually, you antique freaks.  It is a small shop, and truth be told Mine is the hallway to the bathroom...lol. I did sell $300. this month the best month I h've had, because I removed the rust and sold an Ironrite of my Moms.  Yes, Pat, it needed to go, that's what I'm doing, getting rid of the extras.  I only pay 65.00/mo for that hallway, lose some months but having such fun.  Did I mention the wirlwind Navasota Mayor owns this and a few others, the coffee cafe, and we will be opening an actual restaurant, winerery and hotel, and have the Texas Birthday Bash in the first week of March.  I will be there 1st half of day and will gladly get off and shop the stores at night.

It is Bluebonnet Vintage, Antiques and wierd stuff.  Next to the Computer Repair shop....we are lokking for a few vendors, but must work one day a week.  Or just come and enjoy the venue and joy of shopping in a small town.  So many come from Houston, etc. Navasota has become the place to stroll.  There is the Emporiam and Circle P Antiques and the Classic Rock Cafe, all walkable

Texas Birthday Bash, working overtime on Friday, Mar 5th through 6 pm
