Dennis Lee Dorsey, born October 10, 1945, passed away on December 25, 2025. A true Texan at heart, Dennis never met a stranger & had a rare gift for making people feel seen & valued. He was a respected mentor, a trusted leader, a man of deep integrity & kindness. Above all else, Dennis was devoted to his family-his wife of 50 years, Dian; his daughter, Annie & his grandchildren, Birdie & Jack, who were the joy of his life. Dennis was a good friend of mine. I will never forget at a Waltrip football game some boys for the other team did not like Dennis, myself, and two other guys yelling for Waltrip. We were sitting and they came to us and said some bad things and wanted to fight. Dennis stood up quickly and took his shirt off before we could do anything. The boys turned around and left fast and didn't see them again. It so happen my parents were sitting two rolls down. My dad ask me what in the hell did you guys say to them????
